INDUSTRY UPDATE / RECORD 20
Arbe introduces Alerion:
a 4D-radar announcement for fibre-optic UAV contexts.
Arbe Robotics announced Alerion, a 4D radar positioned for counter-UAS applications including FPV, mini, autonomous, and fibre-optic-controlled UAV contexts. The announcement and subsequent reporting indicate an early product and integrator-evaluation stage. They do not independently establish field performance, procurement, operational deployment, or suitability for a particular site.
PUBLIC RECORD / 01
The announcement widens the technical conversation; it does not remove the need for complementary information and project validation.
The useful public signal is a manufacturer’s effort to address a context in which radio-related observability can be limited. A radar-related input and passive acoustic information are different evidence types. Their role, limits, interfaces, placement, certification, and value for a given project must be assessed against site conditions and documented validation—not inferred from a product announcement.

WHAT THE PUBLIC RECORD SAYS / 02
A product announcement describes intended C-UAS applications and evaluation status.
The statements below remain limited to the manufacturer’s release and attributed trade reporting held in the site’s internal source record.
Announced system
Arbe announced the Alerion C-UAS Radar on 14 September 2026 as part of an expansion into defence and homeland-security markets.
Stated contexts
The manufacturer positions the system for FPV, mini, autonomous, and fibre-optic-controlled UAV contexts; this is a product-positioning statement, not an independent outcome.
Stated maturity
The release says the radar is being evaluated by counter-UAS integrators. Evaluation is not a procurement award, acceptance result, or operational fielding statement.
Independent boundary
The reviewed public materials do not provide independent evidence for range, accuracy, coverage, tracking, false-alarm rate, resilience, or site suitability.
PROJECT READING / 03
Fibre-optic UAV context should expand an evidence review, not trigger a single-sensor conclusion.
The record can inform a cautious conversation about complementary information in challenging observability conditions.
Conditional radar input
Radar-related information can be considered under defined terrain, clutter, aviation, electromagnetic-compatibility, and site-authority conditions.
Passive acoustic context
Passive acoustic information may be reviewed as a different evidence source where sound conditions, safe offsets, and engineering constraints are appropriate for assessment.
Corroborate uncertainty
EO/IR, fibre sensing, RF reception, existing site information, and accountable people can help review consistency; no source should be assumed conclusive.
Document the boundary
Site acceptance questions, data responsibility, protected services, authority, and written validation should be explicit before a project treats any announcement as relevant.
SOURCE & PROJECT BOUNDARY / 04
A manufacturer announcement is neither independent performance validation nor a deployment recommendation.
01This record does not claim that a radar, acoustic system, or any combination detects, identifies, classifies, localises, tracks, or safely resolves a particular type of UAV under any condition.
02The public material reviewed describes an announced product and reported evaluation status only. It does not establish procurement, certification, fielding, operational use, or suitability for airports, industrial sites, public areas, or other specific locations.
03This article provides no target selection, sensor placement, signal settings, interference, navigation manipulation, timing, control, or response method. Any project discussion remains subject to authority, compliance review, engineering assessment, protected-service safeguards, and written validation.
